However, in late 2003, due to unforeseen circumstances, Hamidah fell ill and was required to go on kidney dialysis since then. Instead of giving up on herself, Hamidah was very strong and decided to sell her Homemade Kueh Lapis to supplement her family income to provide for her dialysis treatment as her husband, Salim, was the sole breadwinner.
Salim works as a technician who rotates on day and night shifts. As much as he could, he helped Hamidah with her baking when he's back from his shifts. Even their son, Shafiq, 13 years old, is also very interested in baking, and helped his mother after school.
With their interest in Kueh Lapis, and their unity, this loving family of 3 had developed 8 flavours of Kueh Lapis till today! Other than the plain Kueh Lapis, you can try exciting flavours like the Chocolate, Cashew Nuts, and the NEW FRUITY flavours like Prune, Strawberry, Durian, Mango, Jackfruit and Chempedak!
Hamidah prides her Kueh Lapis, and thus she made sure all her ingredients are fresh and the quality is well-maintained. She also made sure the price is low, so that more people can enjoy her Kueh Lapis, like how all her friends and relatives love them!

3) Once order and total costs confirmed, please transfer deposit of $10 for each Kueh Lapis (2kg) ordered to Salim's POSB Savings Account @ 027-09984-0.
* Please note that there will be no refund of the deposit if order is cancelled.
4) Once deposit is received, you will receive a confirmation from Salim.
